Got a call from one of our customers whose van was going back to the lease company but was rejected on the collection day by the collection agent because of the damage from an attempted break in. We was tasked with covering the damage on the body work with a repair plate and replacing the damaged side door hooklock.
Unfortunately the customer informed us that the vehicle was a short wheelbase Ford Transit Connect but it was in fact a long wheelbase. This left the customer with a dilemma. Vehicle is being collected next morning so there isn’t enough time to reorder. We made it fit sort of and despite the repair plate being wrong still looks a million times better and the vehicle will now be accepted by the collection agent.
