Little Risers Childcare

The gang headed off this week to the farm to pick some juicy strawberries.
We even took one of our new Little Risers with us on his first adventure with his new friends!

🍓Building independence by everyone being responsible for their own basket and harvest.
🍓Developing our fine motor skills as we learnt how to carefully pick the fruit.
🍓Chatting and learning about where our food comes from.

🦀 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐏𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬 🦀

Today we made a trip to the coast to visit St Mary’s lighthouse.

We learnt all about the role of a lighthouse and how its light keeps the ships safe from the dangerous rocks.

We explored the rock pools and managed to see shrimps, crabs and hermit crabs up close!

… the bonus prize was seeing the seals playing around on the rocks! 🦭

Soggy wellies and sandy toes all round!
