Flitwick Day Nursery
The babies took the paint outside into the garden today π¨πΌ
They used sticks and their hands to create some lovely spring-themed pictures.
Afterwards they independently decided to βwashβ everythingβ¦ which quickly turned into lots of splashing and squishing water everywhere! π¦π
A messy, creative and very fun afternoon exploring art and water play.

Five Little Speckled Frogs Fun πΈπΏ
The children have been loving the 5 Little Speckled Frogs song, so we created a mat full of lily pads with handmade felt frogs and reeds for them to explore. πΈπΏ
The babies enjoyed singing along, moving the frogs around the lily pads, and exploring the different textures. It was a lovely sensory activity that encouraged music, imagination and lots of smiles! πΆπ
π±β¨ From Ground to Lunch! π
π§
What a fantastic morning at preschool! We were so lucky to have Jack, our wonderful Garden Expert and Trainer, and Sam, our amazing Head Chef, spend the morning with our preschoolers. π
Jack read a lovely book all about growing plants.. the children were completely engaged and asked so many thoughtful questions! ππΏ Afterwards, everyone planted their very own basil seeds. Weβll be caring for them at nursery and, once we see those first little sprouts, the children will be able to take them home to continue growing π±β¨
Sam then talked about healthy eating and how the food we grow can end up on our plates. π₯ To bring it all together, the children made their very own βFamily Firstβ cheese and tomato swirls.. with fresh basil added in! πΏπ
From planting seeds to enjoying basil in their lunch⦠what a special full circle experience!
The children were so proud of their creations (and they smelled delicious!). π©βπ³π¨βπ³
A huge thank you to Jack and Sam for such a fun, hands on and inspiring day! ππ

πβ¨ World Book Day 2026 β¨π
What a fantastic day we had celebrating the magic of stories!
Our wonderful nursery children came dressed as their favourite book characters or cosy in their pyjamas, ready for a day full of imagination and fun. π«
The day was filled with beautiful learning, exciting adventures through stories, lots of giggles, dance parties, and of courseβ¦ plenty of bubbles! π«§πΆ
We love seeing our little learners exploring the joy of books and building a lifelong love of reading. π

A huge thank you to GRS Group for generously donating sand to fill our sandpit! And a big thankyou to the lovely parent who organised this for us. ποΈβ¨
Your kindness and support mean so much to us and, most importantly, to the children. Our sandpit is a wonderful space for creativity π¨, imagination π, and hands-on learning π. Through sand play, children develop important skills such as teamwork π€, problem-solving π§©, fine motor development β, and early mathematical concepts like measuring and building ποΈ.
Local donations like this truly make a difference β€οΈ. They help us create engaging learning environments and show our children the value of community spirit and generosity π. We are so grateful for your support β thank you for helping us make a positive impact on young learners!
