Yesterday our team helped on the fell of a dead Oak, next to frequently used footpath. The tree was retained and coronet cut, to mimic a natural failure.
The timber was retained on site, increasing habitat for bugs, fungi and bats. Long term it will improve the ecosystem, providing for birds, mammals and bugs and beetles.
The tree lives on, even in death!
