LATEST COVID GUIDANCE

Last week the rules concerning Infection Prevention and Control Guidance for England and Wales changed.

It is now no longer mandatory to wear a face mask in a healthcare setting and the onus is on each clinic or practice to decide what is appropriate for their own circumstances.

I am aware that many patients, particularly the vulnerable and elderly, remain anxious about the ongoing threat of COVID and indeed other infectious diseases. As such, although I shall no longer be asking patients to wear a face mask, they are most welcome to continue to wear one if they so choose.

I personally will continue to wear one for the foreseeable future. I shall also continue to invite patients to use the hand sanitiser on arrival and my cleaning protocol after each patient will remain unchanged.

FARNHAM OSTEOPATHIC PRACTICE IS OPEN AGAIN!

I am pleased to announce that, after 8 weeks of lockdown and after careful consideration, I am re-opening my doors and treating patients once more.

The priority is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients and practitioners alike and so there have been a number of changes that we, as a profession, have had to make.

Anybody wanting a treatment will have to be vetted first to ensure that risks, on both sides, are kept to an absolute minimum. Not everybody is going to be suitable for treatment at this time and in some cases a telephone or online video consultation may be more appropriate. If hands-on treatment is indicated you will be talked through the new safety procedures prior to your appointment.

I am really looking forward to getting back to work and helping everybody with the aches and pains that lockdown may have left you!
