Today, our thoughts are with the entire team at Royal Cornwall Events Centre following the difficult decision to cancel the final day of Royal Cornwall Show 2026 due to the extreme weather conditions and the associated safety risks presented to visitors, exhibitors, staff and volunteers.

Whilst we are incredibly disappointed for everyone who was looking forward to attending, we fully support the decision that has been made. The safety and wellbeing of attendees must always come first, and we have no doubt that this decision was taken only after careful consideration of all available options.

As an organisation that has worked closely with the venue for many years, we have seen first-hand the professionalism, dedication and care shown by the team at Royal Cornwall Events Centre. Following our own challenges after Offset Show 2025, the venue stood beside us, offered support and worked collaboratively to help us move forward. It is only right that we do the same for them now.

We would also like to recognise the incredible grounds team, operations staff and wider venue personnel who work tirelessly throughout the entire year to maintain and improve what is one of the finest event venues in the country. Their efforts often go unseen by the public, yet they are responsible for creating the exceptional environment that thousands of people enjoy every year. It is particularly sad that, after so much hard work preparing the site for this year’s show, circumstances beyond anyone’s control have prevented them from showcasing the venue in all its glory.

We appreciate that many visitors will be disappointed. However, we would encourage people to think carefully before directing anger or criticism towards the venue and its staff. Extreme weather is something that no organiser can control, and when genuine safety concerns exist, difficult decisions have to be made. Those decisions are never taken lightly.

The team at Royal Cornwall Events Centre have earned enormous respect across the events industry through years of hard work, professionalism and commitment to delivering outstanding events. They deserve support, understanding and appreciation during what will undoubtedly be a challenging time.

From all of us at Offset Show, we stand firmly behind the venue, its management and its staff, and we look forward to continuing our long-standing partnership for many years to come.

Royal Cornwall Show – Saturday Closure

It is with great regret that following a thorough assessment of forecast weather conditions and their impact on the showground, the difficult decision has been taken to cancel the final day of the Royal Cornwall Show on Saturday.

The safety and wellbeing of our visitors, exhibitors, competitors, members, staff, volunteers and contractors has been central to this decision and remains our highest priority.

We recognise how disappointing this news will be for everyone involved, particularly those who had planned to attend, exhibit or compete, and we would like to thank all our stakeholders for their patience, understanding and support.
