NEWSFLASH: DOG SHOW POSTPONED
We are sorry to announce that the dog show will NOT be going ahead tomorrow.
It's been a tough call to make, because looking at the forecast alone, the numbers aren't extreme. But after the heatwave we've had this week, the combination of heat and over-excitement of a show raises the risk of dogs overheating, even when the air temperature looks manageable on paper, and we simply can't guarantee that every dog (or owner!) will manage that safely on the day.
We know this is a real disappointment, especially for those of you who've been looking forward to it, and we have not taken the decision lightly. But the dogs' welfare must come first, every time, and we'd rather disappoint you now than take a risk with anyone's dog tomorrow.
The good news: we are already rearranging! The dog show will now take place on Saturday 12th September - hopefully with much kinder weather conditions for everyone to enjoy. Follow this page for updates nearer the time. We would like to expand the September event, perhaps with some agility? If this is something you can help with, do get in touch!
Thank you all for your understanding, and we can't wait to see you and your dogs in September instead. 🐾
