All set up for another Live Longer Better session! We are covering Basic nutrition and why is important to our long term health, barriers to eating well and ideas to overcome them.

We finish the session making a hot, filling lunch, a grab bag for the freezer and high protein breakfast to start the next day full of beans!

These sessions fill my heart, it is always such a pleasure to spend time chatting, laughing and learning from each other.

This is probably a good day to announce that this year we will be doing a special Xmas lunch on our last lunch club before Christmas on Thursday 19 December 12.30pm. Thanks to and for donating all the ingredients, and also to for the vegan Yorkshire puddings! This was the last Xmas dinner I made at Ide lunch club. Unlike most of our lunch clubs it's not open to all, as we will prioritising our community fridge users, and regulars, particularly people on low incomes and/or living on their own who might not get to eat a Christmas dinner with other people, and vegans who might not be catered for anywhere else. We only have 24 spaces including volunteers. If anyone else can donate anything e.g. crackers, vegan cheese, chocs, etc. let me know.
NB after that we will probably be closed for the next two weeks, as I have no help with childcare over the holidays.
