They will make a nest anywhere, under roof tiles,🏠 in the ground, hanging in a bush or tree🌳 in the garden, they are not at all fussy!

People are being asked to be vigilant after a record number of sightings of the Asian hornet in the UK

While they are no bigger risk to humans than native hornets, they are a threat to honey bees and insect pollinators

The group Wildlife and Countryside Link warned recent flooding and warming temperatures had increased the risk of “problem species” already in the UK growing and spreading
