Proper blast from the past today. We have just completed a site survey on a gate system we originally installed over 20 years ago.

Gate technology and safety standards have changed massively since the early 2000s. We are giving this system a full safety upgrade alongside a fresh motor. This brings the kit right up to modern requirements and ensures reliable, safe operation for years to come.

Our engineer Alex is taking care of the installation next week. Huge shout out to him. If you have ever seen his van, you know it is always spotless and organised. We firmly believe that when an engineer’s van is tidy, you know their work is going to be tidy too. That level of care is exactly how the PSL team operates. 👏🔧

The goal was a secure, smart entrance, so we delivered new railing panels, a pedestrian gate, and a vehicle gate.
We kept the tech sleek and practical:

🚶The pedestrian gate we integrated an electric strike latch with the existing intercom and fitted a gate closer for a clean, hidden look.
🚘The vehicle gate uses a heavy duty double sided coded lock to keep things locked down.

This job certainly kept us sharp. We had to satisfy some strict guidelines from the local planning department, and the decorative infills were all handmade by the blacksmith shop. It was a challenge, but quality workmanship always pays off.

We recently helped Peter on Prince Albert Road (right by London Zoo) upgrade his property entrance. His old gates had been struggling with ground movement over the years and were just too narrow for a comfortable entry.
The PSL Solution:
✅ We swapped out bulky metal posts for brick pillars and gained 500mm of width to the entrance.
✅ Finished the gates in a Jet Black textured coating
✅ All powered by DEA Ghost 200 motors and a Hikvision intercom system for total control.
