Its a busy old weekend for Slate Room Studio

Coldsville launched their new album "All The Things That Once Belonged" last night at the Voodoo Rooms, which had I had posted about yesterday wouldn't have mattered as it was sold-out. Featuring special guests Roark. The second album I've made with the band who continue to grow.

Band.Roark launch their new record this evening in Berwick this evening. The second I have made with them with a third one in progress for the next year. The album features loads of studio friends such as Seonaid Aitken Music, Mike Kearney Music, Colin Steele and many others and shows a massive leap from their Debut. Heading down to see them and support Coldsville later this afternoon. The album lands online next week I believe - link incoming.

Dean Owens Musician - Official has launched the pre-release for his upcoming studio live album "Our Favourite Sins". I've lost count of how many records I've worked on with Dean, but its probably double figures now.. This one is 100% live, single takes in one room with Dean's live band The Sinners capturing what they've been doing over the last few years touring.

Steph Macleod has just released his first record since 2018 and I played a miniscule part in it recording choir. I've made 2 records with Steph in the past and think this is amongst his strongest work and was chuffed to asked to contribute in a small way.

Lots of great work coming out of my wee studio.
Lots of people I’ve worked with for years (decades almost) all growing along the way, continuing to craft their music.

At the end of last year I did a little feature with RecordProduction.com and Dean Owens Musician - Official at Slate Room Studio. I never do these kind of things and it is literally the only video on the internet of me talking about what I do on a daily basis at the studio. I'll probably never do another, but did have a lot of fun doing this one.
