On Sunday 18th of May me and my friend set-off to Manchester to watch the comedian Russell Peters, we’re both super excited for the show that my GF bought me for my birthday last month.

Now there’s what happened… 80 miles before our hotel in Manchester my car pinged saying ‘battery not charging’ we instantly knew that the alternator was goosed. Both me and my friend (Hussin Akhtar) are mechanically minded but had no tools whatsoever with us. We managed to get to the hotel and decided that we’ll worry about the car the next day and we’ll just enjoy the evening as planned.

Following day, we realised how screwed we were. After hours of searching, called multiple parts stores was quoted £420 (just for the part itself), we eventually managed to get hold of a local vehicle breaker for an alternator.

His name was Lewis from VWAG Breakers. This guy went above and beyond, made sure we had the right part and tools to get us back on the road to Edinburgh. A genuine and honest human being which is VERY hard to find these days. Couldn’t have thanked this guy enough.

If anyone is looking for VW, AUDI, Skoda or seat parts… Lewis is your man 🙏🏽 he deserves recognition. One of a kind!
