ANNOUNCEMENT: The Greenbank Scout Jumble Sale will be on Saturday 18th April 2026 from 9.30am.

We look forward to seeing all our wonderful volunteers again, and welcoming the public back to help us raise vital funds so that Young People can get the most out of Scouting at Greenbank.

We're deeply saddened to hear about the passing of John Cruickshank. John was one of the original 6 Scouts, when they had a vision of starting a troop at Greenbank back in 1933. As well as being one of our local heroes, he's also a national hero. He was the last surviving WWII recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest medal for valour. Rest in Peace, John. As the Scouts say - you've Gone Home. ⚜️

Aberdeen man who was last surviving WW2 Victoria Cross recipient dies aged 105 John Cruickshank suffered 72 injuries during the bombing raid on a U-boat in 1944 but refused medical treatment.
