"Being on a statue is certainly not me, I’d weather badly I think."
🌟 Meet Alexander Graham Bell, one of the characters featured in Active Inquiry's Characters of Edinburgh festival.
🌟 Born in Edinburgh in 1847, he was the inventor of the telephone.
🌟 Both his mother and wife were deaf, which influenced his life’s work on hearing loss and speech. He thought the telephone was a distraction, he wouldn’t have one in his study! ☎️
🌟 You can find out more about him, as well as a host of other Edinburgh "characters" in Characters of Edinburgh which is on at the Drill Hall later this week.

➡️ A new tenant in a warehouse means that The Great Lafayette, Sherlock Holmes, Cowboy Joe and others must confront the question of who best represents Edinburgh whilst protecting their secret at all costs.
