โฝGeneral population - working to increase knowledge and confidence in the gym whilst progressing their strength and mobility
โฝ65+ Years - making sure their strength and mobility remains a priority that their present and future self will be thankful for

Morning walk up the Pentland Hills taking in West Kip, East Kip and Scald Law.
Couldn't have asked for a better day and better company. Great to catch up and spend some time outside of the gym too!

So You Want To... Learn The Splits

Well there's a party trick right?! Now we might not be talking drop splits as featured on Ru Paul's Drag Race (or are we)?! But the splits are a great move to learn, not just for impressing those around you but, more importantly, for helping general flexibility in the lower body and reduced injury at end range.
This workshop is suitable for all levels and will introduce you to a series of progressions appropriate to your stage of learning to help you on your way to mastering the split technique.
Focus will be on the progressive lengthening of the quads and hamstrings, release of the hip flexors and stability of the pelvis as well as general range of motion around the hips. Using a range of stretching techniques carefully selected to aid your practice, you can be well on your way to moving more safely and effectively.
