In June 2026, we had our first class trip to Spain so that we could practise having REAL conversations!

It was amazing but don't just take my word for it...

Here's what Lynne, one of the ladies featured in this photo, had to say about the experience:

"My favourite moment is hard to choose as there were a few lol but when we were all wearing our red t-shirts and we were getting some bewildered looks was fun but it did make it easy for us to spot each other. 😂

"I liked that when you spoke to the locals in Spanish they answered you in Spanish unlike the more touristy areas where they tend to reply in English. So I definitely got to practice my Spanish a lot more. This definitely improved my confidence to actually have a go (or try to) speak much more Spanish. The locals were very patient and it was good to hear the way they pronounce and use the language and they seemed to enjoy our efforts and we had some laughs along the way.

"I really enjoyed discovering the local food / tapas and trying foods that I’d never had before. It formed a large part of the overall Spanish experience. I can’t think of any specific new words except in relation to food and drink 😂 eg Pulpo, Cangrejo, Fideos & Empanadas (deliciosas)."
