Every fortnight:

Drawing for All Abilities - Thursday 2nd,16th, and 30th, 6-7.30 - A social drawing group for all levels of ability. Instruction and refreshments provided.

Crochet for All Abilities - Thursday 9th and 23rd, 11-12. A social crochet group for beginner and experienced crocheters. Materials and refreshments provided. Currently running as a self-led/peer supported activity while we wait for a new volunteer.

Sew Along – Thursday 9th and 23rd, 3-5 – An opportunity to use the library sewing machines and overlocker for anyone who already has sewing skills. This is not a sewing lesson, but our volunteer will be there to supervise and help if needed.

Plus, our monthly sessions which are:

Felt Crafts - Tuesday 2nd, 10.30-11.30 - Sewing simple items out of felt, with instruction for beginners. Refreshments provided.

Creative Writing - Monday 27th 6-7.30 - A social group for writers and aspiring writers. Refreshments provided. *This group is currently full, and we are operating a waiting list*

3D Printing Drop In - Thursday 30th, 5-6 - Drop in to ask questions and learn about 3D printing.

Booking is not required for any of these activities. Participants must be 16 or over for all timetabled sessions. Under 16s may participate in our 'every day’ activities if they are supervised by an adult.

🎲 Volunteer Opportunity: Activities Volunteer: Tabletop Gaming 🎲

Do you love tabletop gaming like Warhammer and want to inspire the next generation? We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to support our library gaming sessions for children and families across Dundee.

✨ About the role:
Help library staff facilitate fun, engaging tabletop gaming sessions that encourage learning, teamwork, and cooperation.

🛠️ Your role will include:
• Preparing resources and setting out equipment
• Welcoming children and parents/guardians
• Supporting participation during gaming sessions
• Helping with refreshments (where provided)
• Clearing equipment and tidying up after sessions

🌟 This role is perfect if you:
• Enjoy tabletop gaming (including Warhammer)
• Are passionate about supporting children and families
• Want to promote confidence, creativity, and teamwork

✅ We’re looking for people who are:
• Reliable and able to commit regularly
• Clear communicators
• Positive, friendly, and encouraging
