For 110 years, Edinburgh Zoo has been part of family days out, school trips, unforgettable animal encounters and treasured moments shared across generations 🐧

We're inviting you to help us preserve that history by sharing your favourite zoo memories during Memories Week (13–21 June).

One person who has helped shape our story is Karen Stiven, who recently retired after an incredible 45 years caring for animals at the zoo. Among her many memories is hand-rearing a young hippo called Cleo – a challenging but rewarding experience that remains close to her heart 🦛

But we want to hear your stories too. Whether it's an old photograph, a special souvenir or a memory that has stayed with you over the years, we'd love to see it. Join us during Memories Week and help us ensure the next chapter of Edinburgh Zoo's story is recorded.
