📂 NEW LIBRARY SYSTEM – LOADING! 📂

We're just a week away from introducing a new library system that will make it easier for customers to manage their library accounts, reserve books and access our services.

The change is part of a wider programme bringing library services together across the region, helping us build a stronger and more connected library network.

As we make the switch, you may notice our libraries are a little busier than usual while staff and volunteers get used to the new system. Thank you for your patience and support.

Our recommended book this week is ‘Scabby Queen’ by Kirstin Innes.

One of our customers said that this book was something completely different to anything he’d ever read, and that he would recommend it to everyone!

🎨👖 Edlington families — and anyone nearby — we’re bringing colourful summer creativity to Edlington Library! 👟✨

I’m really looking forward to bringing two fun kids’ upcycling workshops to Edlington Library this August, thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.

These workshops are all about giving children the chance to get creative, express themselves, try something different and give an old item a brand-new life — all in a friendly, relaxed library setting.

👖 Denim Remix: Summer Upcycling Workshop
Children can bring along a denim item such as jeans, a denim skirt, jacket, shorts or bag and transform it using fabric paints, stamps and stencils.

👟 Kids Custom Kicks Workshop
Children can bring a pair of canvas shoes or trainers and turn them into their very own colourful custom kicks!

Children will need to bring their own item to decorate, but all paints, stamps, stencils, aprons and creative materials will be provided.

Thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, places are just £1.50 per child to secure each booking.

Suitable for ages 5–16 years. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Spaces are limited, so please book through Eventbrite using the QR codes on the poster.

I’d love to see children from Edlington and surrounding areas come along, get creative and create something they’ll be proud to wear or use. It’s a lovely way to encourage creativity, confidence, self-expression and positive choices for the environment. ♻️🌈

NEW LIBRARY SYSTEM - COMING SOON! 👀✨

Doncaster Libraries are excited to announce we will be launching a brand new library management system on Thursday 9th July!

The new system will create a better experience for you, our Library visitors.

Due to this change, we will be entering a transition period which may cause some disruption within our libraries. We would like to ask for patience whilst our staff and volunteers adapt to the new system.

We will share more information about the launch over the next week before the launch, we’ll happily answer any questions you may have!
