This weekend, Emma, the kids and I had a fantastic time at the Edenthorpe Football Club Summer Gala. ⚽☀️

We played hook-a-duck, Luca had his face painted for the first time, had far too much food, football matches and plenty of fun.

I did suggest having a Box to Box logo painted across my face... but apparently that wasn't "cool" according to the kids / Emma....

One of my favourite moments was seeing so many kids playing football with jumpers for goalposts.

It took me back...just a ball, a few mates and hours of fun.

It also made me think about Box to Box Financial Partner.

When we started the business just over a year ago, it genuinely felt like we were playing with jumpers for goalposts. A lot of enthusiasm, a vision of what we wanted to build, and a willingness to work hard to make it happen.

Today, we're still a long way from a Premier League stadium, but we've certainly moved on from the park pitch. The foundations are in place, the floodlights are on, the crowd is growing and we're playing on a much bigger stage than we were 12 months ago.

Most importantly, we're enjoying every minute of the journey.

A huge thank you to everyone at Edenthorpe Football Club for putting on such a brilliant event. It was fantastic to see so many families, volunteers and young people enjoying themselves and being part of a great community club.

Sometimes it's good to be reminded where you started, appreciate how far you've come, and look forward to what's still to come.

(And yes, I did manage to get a photo with the Box to Box sign before the kids dragged me off to the next activity)....
