IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

We have a quick update on pricing and availability across our products at PCBS

With Nvidia’s launch of their 50 series Graphics Cards now complete we will work through our l pre-built templates and update them as necessary. There have also been various other CPU and storage releases that we will look to implement and hopefully bring some prices down too!

Pricing, however, may have to change. With various things imported from the US and some uncertainty still looming their availability is somewhat unpredictable - especially for SSD and M.2 storage drives.

We will do our absolute best to keep these priced as low as possible and be sure to have alternative suggestions if your preferred brand is temporarily unavailable

Repair - HP Laptop

Tom brought us a laptop that was generally under-performing, slow and struggling to keep up with even simple work demands.

After a full diagnostic we conducted an extensive service on the laptop, cleaning gigabytes of junk files and improving the speed of the hard drives.

After a few hours work it was ready to return to the customer and we were delighted to hear that they’re happy with the results.

Repair - Apple MacBook

We were more than happy to welcome Nicola as a returning customer! This time Nicola’s daughter was struggling to connect her MacBook to the internet, with constant connectivity problems.

With a full diagnostic run and the issue identified we were able to solve the problem and speed up the system a little as part of the service.

Business Update

First and foremost, as we approach one year of operation I would like to thank each and everyone one of our customers so far!

A wide range of jobs across all our services - building, repair and sales - have been undertaken with positive feedback throughout. We really appreciate the support from everyone!

As we look to continually improve what we have to offer at PCBS I’m excited to say we will soon be opening a component store through eBay!

This will allow anyone within the UK to purchase PC components, cases and some other accessories directly from us with next day delivery included.

More will be revealed as we work to best integrate our stock into the store but we aim to launch in March!

Buffalo TeraStation TS4800D NAS with 12TB of storage - 8x 1.5TB WD Green HDDs

NAS is in as new condition, fully working and ready to use with 12TBs of storage and upgrade ability up to 32TBs.

TeraStation enclosure is worth £700+ new without the drives, selling as a whole with the 12TBs of storage for £500.

Repair - Dell Laptop

Nicola brought her laptop to me with a loose right hinge. This turned out to be a common fault on this line of laptops and a fairly straightforward fix!

With the hinge mounting holes on the screen-side totally sheered, and replacement parts from Dell proving hard to find, we resorted to some two-part epoxy.

All set the hinge was restored and the laptop back good as new.
