One of our good friends finally had his beautiful M4 turned up!

We had previous been to tune the vehicle last week revealing that this model needed to have the ecu unlocked via bench before tuning.

The ecu location on these are in a little bit more of an awkward place and its located under the inlet.

Luckily by removing the charge cooler and a few little bits you can gain access to the ecu plugs, it is a 2-3 hour job to remove the inlet so we were glad this could be avoided.

The ecu has now been patched allowing for obd read/write in the future.

Evolved tuning stage 1

450bhp > 500bhp

550nm > 680nm

After the test drive Dan commented on how the car felt saying it had completely changed the car in everyway, from throttle response to power delivery.
(he was trying to hide the smile as he pulled back in but couldn't😂)

Absolutely stunning car and it looked gorgeous in the Saturday morning sunshine😍☀️

The customer got in touch as the car already had a tdituning box fitted and wanted the car tuning without it.
Although tuning boxes can add performance and can sometimes be the only way if the car/ecu is not yet available to tune, a custom tune will always be better. The way the tuning box works is to intervene after the ECU, they usually plug in to 2 or more sensors to alter the readings.
As you can imagine, when we tune a vehicle we adjust a bit more than 2 or 3 maps.

Even though this was a tsi performance model with a tuning box, the customer still felt the difference everywhere.

As I've said many times before, a stage 1 and a gearbox tune really does bring these tsi/dsg setups to life!

The customer had recently been to for a downpipe fitting and required the O2 OFF software applying to avoid the dreaded engine management light making an appearance.

A downpipe and a Stage 1 tune to these cars completely transform them, Seriously fast little cars🔥
