Optimum Corner

Optimum Bumps is a free antenatal support group. It allows anyone with a baby bump the opportunity to meet others, in a friendly and informal setting, while learning a little something about pregnancy, birth and babies along the way. The group runs on Thursday evenings, here at Optimum Corner, and each week a different topic is covered.

This week (Thursday 18th June) the topic is slings. Carrying your baby in a sling enables you to bond with your child while allowing you to be hands free. However there are a confusingly large variety of makes and styles to choose from. Not only will you be able to find out about the many benefits of wearing your baby in a sling, but you'll also get the chance to have a play with some of Swindon and Devizes Sling Library's collection of slings and find out exactly how the library works.

Getting resources ready for this afternoon's starting solids workshop.

A reminder that Devizes, Melksham and Calne Breastfeeding Support is not running this afternoon. But it will be back next week, in a newly painted Optimum Corner.

Today was supposed to be the last day of painting. But it looks like we're going to need an extra day. Luckily nothing has been booked in for tomorrow. But we do need to make sure tomorrow is the last day, as we've got a using a stretchy wrap with your newborn workshop running on Sunday.
