•
If anyone thought this rowing the Atlantic stuff was all about the grunt work then you were wrong!
•
Getting our heads around some of the tech on the boat ready for Saturday when we go beyond the is exhausting
•
Looking forward to ticking off Duncan Roy’s training objectives this weekend though

Another great day with the guys from Doitforanna; madden voyage for Emma (boats name from previous crew), the team did very well considering only one of them has actualy done and amount of rowing.
Please please go and follow them on their page and in Insta; but more importantly, check out there story and what they are trying to do with the money they are raising. I am supporting them becuase their story and cause is so important. I like and a follow is always very uplifting when trying to grow support and awareness. If you are looking for a charity to support this year, this is a very worth cause.
Now we have had a couple of days to get over the excitement of rowing our boat that will carry us across the Atlantic next year we thought I’d share a few thoughts.
We set ourselves a target of having our boat by September 2020 so ahead of the game by a couple of months and even got 3 hours completed of our compulsory 120.
We learned a lot in a short space of time on Friday. One of the main things being not to get so excited about rowing and make sure you have water accessible at all times. I’m still feeling a bit dehydrated now.
Ocean rowing is great fun and we cannot wait to get back out on the water again soon.
Ocean rowing isn’t always about blue skies and yellow sandy beaches. We were treated to a typical British summers day on Friday as you can see in the photos.
Poole harbour is amazing
