BHP Security Solutions are currently seeking a talented individual to join our team as Trainee Security Installation Engineer.

BHP Security Solutions Ltd is a family owned and run Security Business with a personal touch. One of the more established, in excess of 38 years at the forefront of security installations and burglary prevention, installing and maintaining systems and the only company in the northwest with a fully approved central station. We provide a large range of services across the country working with some of the largest Irish and UK companies.

If you would like to work in a dynamic environment where the focus is placed on personal development then you are the candidate that we are looking for.

The Role

Working from our main Office you will visit our customers premises and private properties to install to a high standard, fire and/or security systems which include but not limited to audible and remote signalling fire and Intruder alarms, Access control and CCTV systems.

You will be working with a qualified engineer or with a team.

Transport from our office to and from the customers premises will be provided.

You will be trained on the following.

Installing to relevant industry standards and codes of practice.

Commissioning systems.

Completing commissioning documentation and marking up as fitted drawings.

Completing demonstrations and handover to end user.

Skills and experience:

Ideally you will be aged between 18 and 21 due to insurance purposes and able to drive manual vehicles.

As this is an apprentice position no previous skills in the industry will be required you will need however:-

Good communication skills.

Honest and trustworthy.

Enthusiasm and willingness to work.

Keen to maintain high standards and work within a team.

Minimum GCSE Maths and English PLUS ICT (or equivalent).

Be able to get to our office each morning on time.

Training:

This is a modern apprenticeship so along with on the job training with us you will also attend day release at college.
We have regular engineer meetings and tool box talks as well as internal and industry training programs to help you develop your skills.
