Signal Flow: introducing the artists
Concert #4
Gallery, 19:00 - 20:00
Brian Bridges
************
Brian Bridges works in electronic and soundscape music with particular interests in drones and microtonality, as well as urban and social dimensions to soundscapes. He is a founder-member of the Spatial Music Collective (Dublin, 2006-2018) and co-founder of Oscillations and Modulations festival (Derry, 2018-present) and now creates with modular synthesisers and feedback systems, as well as with anthropocentric soundscape recordings. Recent festival appearances include Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival and Belfast International Arts Festival (2023), the NYC Electroacoustic Music Festival and Cork’s Radical Futures conference-festival (2024), Signal Flow festival (Derry, 2025) and SyReN Sympsium (Leeds, 2025).
For this Signal Flow performance he will present Analogue ‘Intelligences’. Centred on the pin‑matrix patch-bay of a more‑than‑fifty‑year‑old EMS Synthi analogue synthesiser, Analogue ‘Intelligences’ is a drone performance for feedback loops, cross-talk and tipping points, relating to the synthesiser more as organism than as instrument.

Anderinna Gooch is an Irish composer and electroacoustic artist based in Donegal. Her work spans instrumental, electroacoustic, vocal, and audiovisual composition, exploring sound, landscape, memory, and technology through concert works, installations, film collaborations, and commissioned projects. She often integrates acoustic instruments, electronics, field recordings, and visual media to create immersive listening experiences.
She is currently a resident composer with the Contemporary Music Centre’s Brigid Residency Programme in Dublin. Her work has been presented internationally, including appearances at the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival in 2024 and 2025. In 2025 she was commissioned to compose a choral work for the Forget Me Nots Choir for the Bealtaine Festival 2025, performed at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin. She is also a contributing artist at the Performing Media Festival, an experimental audiovisual and media arts festival in Indiana, USA, in March 2026. Upcoming engagements include Sonorities Festival Belfast in April 2026 and a studio-based residency at the Regional Cultural Centre Sound Studio in Donegal in summer 2026.
Her practice is rooted in environmental listening and place-based exploration, working across contemporary instrumental writing, sound art, and emerging technologies while remaining closely connected to the cultural landscape of Ireland.
