I’m going to make a video or further written post later to explain the mum and baby rabbit situation. Unfortunately more people getting involved with mixed information seems to have created the possibility that we might not be able to get these rabbits and secure them a better life.

We really didn’t care if they were half wild or not. I’m still getting told mixed things. We were told the situation was desperate and they had nowhere to go.

I’ve had no replies since Thursday now and this is why I never normally raise money before we physically have the rabbits because I don’t want anyone to feel conned.

But again, I will explain more later.

You amazing people have raised £197 so far. Enough for 2 basic vaccines (not including the new vac)

And it means we can help these two boys.

They were living in a hamster cage and being carried around by their ears.

Their mum is a huge lop and their dad is wild. Mum has already been rehomed by previous owner.

They are understandably head shy from the ear trauma but curious. A part of me is hoping they will gain more trust and possibly be adoptable. Time will tell.

I’m aware I’m around a week behind on messages/emails.

Apologies again, it’s been one of those weeks.

Despite so much effort by many people. The pub auctions near us (DE21 Derby) are still continuing.

Last night, multiple sugar gliders were in the auction again.

We cannot pay hundreds of pounds to take gliders out of auction. The seller would just deem it a success and continue to breed and sell more.

So this is my best offer of help.

If you purchased a sugar glider at the pub last night. I am offering education, and any help you need to care for your gliders PROPERLY.

•Cages are not good. We recommend 6x3x2 foot vivarium very very minimum for a pair. Bigger is better. Especially if they’re young.
•They need to be in neutered pair at bare minimum.
•Lots of types of bedding and toys are not safe.
•Packaged food is not safe, please research the SGS2 diet.
•They need controlled temperatures and lighting.
•Please do not let children handle them, they are extremely fragile and have sharp teeth with Velcro gripping claws (can easily cause irritation to skin)

I can help you find an experienced vet and answer any questions. NO JUDGEMENT.

I don’t want to judge, I just want to help these gliders have a decent life.

**photo is one of our gliders so this post doesn’t get lost**

Perfectly rabbit.

Long nose, up ears, lean body. Perfect for preventing over heating.

Hot weather is just another reason why rabbits should look like rabbits and not flat faced bread loaves.
