Tomas Harper Racing
Onboards can be a bit boring but not when it's a beautiful day at Anglesey GP Circuit, and especially the view coming over the hill after the Rocket complex! Well worth a watch.
First day at the circuit, and good to be getting some consistency by the end even on very, very old looking tyres. Fastest lap of the session would have been good enough for top 8 when the Fiesta Championship last visited in June, but still more than a second off the Pole time. Work to be done.
Thank you to the team 20Ten Racing for arranging the test day. Next stop - Brands Hatch in 3 weeks time.

Tillotson T4 Junior – Fulbeck 26 April 2026
Not been in this kart since the Nations Cup Qualifier podium at PF last March! But couldn’t miss the opportunity to join up with our old friends for a T4 round within easy reach of us.
Unable to make the Saturday practise, and limited to how much time we could spend here on raceday (due to needing to meet up with 20Ten back in Derby at 5.30pm to head for Anglesey Circuit for Fiesta testing on Monday). So, a brief 5 min practise on Sunday to regain familiarity with 4-stroke and hoping that the final will start no later than 4.00pm.
We didn’t bother with new rubber so risked it with the very same tyres that the kart has sat parked on since last used at PF. They weren’t looking great after practise – lots of graining and looked like we would regret being tight-*rses.
Heat One – P8 up to P2 after a couple laps but tyres went off a cliff with a few mins to go. P3 finish.
Heat Two – P4 start and took lead on lap 9, but 2 laps to go fighting hard made contact in chicane. Vid attached, felt a bit hard done with a 5sec penalty when we left plenty of space. P2 OTR, P6 after penalty.
Heat Three – knowing it would probably be our last race of the day we opted to sacrifice the P2 start position at front of grid and go from very back of grid in P15 instead. Great race, excellent fun and came home P3.
Final – frustrating that the heat results meant we would have started the Final on the front row in P2, giving a great chance of a win. But Tomas was committed to being back in Derby on time and didn’t want to risk being late.
Overall, really happy to have been back in the T4 and show that the kart and engine are still working perfectly.

It's official - we are accepted and registered for the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship. Our first race will be extra special being our home circuit - Donington Park 18th/19th July!!
The Kart Championship Round 1 – Warden Law 21-22 March
We had to miss official practise on Friday (we were the only Junior Rotax driver of 64 who missed it!) in order to take part in the Fiesta test day at Donington.
The 6-minute warm up on Saturday went well – sitting nicely in the top 5 after 3 laps until a minor ni**le with the rad meant having to back off. Promising start.
Qualifying. First flying lap the exhaust springs couldn’t cope with the flow and the exhaust jumped and wedged part way over the port. The very same springs we have used for 18 months and have done 100+ hours failed 2 mins into one of the most important qualifying sessions! If we had done the Friday practise this weakness would have been found and fixed.
Came in to pits, fixed in a second but we were not permitted to rejoin as per quali regulations. Weekend and probably championship chances blown – P31 of 32 in group. And we will be using 4 springs instead of the standard 2 in future!
Heat One – back of grid start. Finish P9. Utterly stunning 8 min session.
Heat Two – P16 by lap 4. Took P15 cleanly, then they got a bit mardy and span Tomas off by loading into the next turn. Back of pack P31 finish.
Super Heat One – P20 start, P10 finish
Super Heat Two – P20 start again, P10 finish again (missed out on fastest lap by 0.04!)
Final – P26 of 34 start. Making progress up to P18, next driver in P17 was easy to catch and pass without contact but the driver simply drove at us at next turn and turned us around, dropping 8 places back to P26. Finished P21.
A pity some less experienced drivers don’t see the long-game but inevitable to find these when having to come through such a big pack.
Video attached showing how it should be - the end of SH1 and taking the P10 place we badly needed to get into the A-Final. Good, clean racing with respectful and talented drivers.
Thanks team Ultimate-R for getting us straight up to speed on Saturday.
