New online resource! You can now access Transparent Language Online for free with your library card. This site provides an effective and engaging experience for language learners looking to build their vocabulary, practice their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, and maintain what they learn. With courses and supplemental resources in 110+ languages, including English for speakers of over 30 languages, there is something for every learner. If you are aged between 14 and 24 and are interested in gaining work experience during the summer holidays, then this is the opportunity for you! Get involved by volunteering as a Summer Reading Challenge Volunteer at Daventry Library!
Sign children up for the Summer Reading Challenge, have a chat with them about the books they've read and give them stickers, certificates and medals. Provide support with craft activities and encourage participation.
