A little late, but on Monday Nick celebrated 6 months clean. ❤️
For Nick, this milestone means a lot.
He’s been trying to get to this place for a long time. The journey hasn’t been perfect and relapse has been part of the story, but what matters is that he never gave up. Every time life knocked him down, he got back up and kept fighting.
One of the biggest things we’ve seen over the last 6 months is courage. Nick has faced fears that have kept him trapped in endless cycles for years. The easy option would have been to stay where he was, but instead he chose to face them head on.
One thing that has stood out to me is watching Nick push through the self-doubt that has held him back for so long. Even when he hasn’t believed in himself, he’s still stepped forward. He’s gone against the grain, faced fears head on, and taken leaps of faith that would have been easy to avoid. That takes real courage.
What many people don’t see is just how kind-hearted Nick is. He genuinely cares about others and has a good heart. Watching him grow in confidence and start to see in himself some of what others already see has been a privilege. I’m genuinely so glad you’re here, mate, and at this point in your journey. ❤️
Recovery asks us to do things that feel uncomfortable. To be vulnerable. To trust people. To let go of old ways of thinking. To walk into situations we’d rather avoid. Watching Nick do that has been amazing to see.
There is still work ahead, as there is for all of us, but today is proof that change is possible when we refuse to quit.
Massively proud of you mate. Keep going. ❤️
