Our Ugandan coffee has officially sold out.

There were plenty of raised eyebrows after that first sip at the Royal Lancashire Show last weekend. Then came the questions, the second tastes and, before long, the last few bags had gone.

We had a feeling this coffee would be popular, but we didn't expect quite how quickly it would disappear.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, tried it and took a bag home. There's something really satisfying about seeing someone taste a coffee, enjoy it, and know they'll be looking forward to their next brew at home.

We'll leave it there... for now.

This week's coffee spotlight is The Zesty Brew.

This one used to be our Colombian Single Origin, but with the new bags came a new name.

And it suits it.

The Zesty Brew is bright, clean and lively. It’s lightly roasted, so you get a brew with plenty of character without it feeling too heavy.

It’s the one we’d point you towards if you like your coffee with a bit more lift. Good for the first brew of the day, good when you’re getting stuck into work, and good when you want something that feels a bit fresher than your usual cup.

Works brilliantly as a filter coffee, but it’ll still make a cracking brew through a machine at home.

If you’re after something a little brighter this week, give The Zesty Brew a go.

Bring a little zest to your next brew. Shop via the link below:

We thought we'd send one of our coffee bags off to explore the Royal Lancashire Show...

Three days later, it had made its way around the show, stopping off with some brilliant local businesses along the way.

One of the best parts of events like this is meeting the people behind the businesses, having a chat and seeing the passion that goes into what they do.

A big thank you to everyone who joined in and let us stop by for a photo. We've tagged them all below, so if you're not already following them, they're well worth a look.

Missed us at the show? Don't worry you can shop our beans via the link below.

Thanks for being part of the adventure.

When you open a bag of coffee, you're seeing the finished product. What you don't see is everything that happens before it reaches your cup.

We source our coffees through speciality importers who provide full traceability, often right back to the farm. Working within the speciality coffee market helps ensure quality is rewarded throughout the supply chain, while giving us access to exceptional coffee beans to roast.

Every coffee is then roasted to bring out the flavours that make it unique. Drawing on his scientific training, Head Roaster Matt develops roast profiles through careful testing, measuring and tasting. By tracking every roast and regularly cupping the coffee, we can make sure it tastes just as good in next week's bag as it does in this week's. Data helps us stay consistent, but tasting is still the most important check we have.

Green coffee can be stored for months without issue, but once it's roasted the clock starts ticking. That's why we roast regularly and make sure our wholesale customers receive their coffee within days of roasting. It gives the coffee time to settle while ensuring it reaches them during its peak freshness window.

Great coffee doesn't happen by accident. It's the result of hundreds of small decisions and attention to detail at every stage of the process.

When you invest in quality at every step, you can taste the difference in every brew.

72 miles. One day. One incredible achievement.

On Saturday 27th June, Matt completed the full Ribble Way, running from the source in the Yorkshire Dales to the estuary near Preston in support of ribbleriverstrust

Thanks to the generosity of so many people, we didn’t just reach our fundraising target… we exceeded it.

To everyone who donated, shared the fundraiser or sent messages of support, thank you. Your generosity will help support the important work Ribble Rivers Trust does to protect and restore the river and surrounding environment we all care about.

A special thank you to everyone who joined Matt for sections of the route. Having people alongside him throughout the day made a real difference, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who gave up their time to be part of the challenge.

We’re so proud of what Matt achieved, and even more grateful for the support that made it possible.

And yes… the last photo pretty much sums up exactly how Matt was feeling by the end of the day.

The fundraiser is still open, so if you'd still like to support Ribble Rivers Trust, you can donate using the link below. Every donation goes directly towards helping protect and restore the River Ribble and its surrounding environment.

Thank you.

Sustainability isn't a marketing buzzword for us, it's about making better choices wherever we can.
From sourcing to delivery, we're constantly looking at how we can reduce our impact while supporting the communities around us.
Our speciality coffee is sourced from small farms that prioritise quality, fair pricing and sustainable farming practices.
Our packaging is recyclable, helping to reduce waste after your coffee has been enjoyed.
The chaff produced during roasting doesn't go to landfill, it’s collected locally and reused as chicken bedding.
We currently focus on wholesale supply within Lancashire, helping to reduce food miles while supporting local cafés, shops and businesses.
For deliveries, we use Royal Mail, one of the UK's lowest-carbon delivery networks.
And as a small business ourselves, we're passionate about working with other local businesses whenever possible.
We're not perfect, and there's always more to do. But we believe small changes, made consistently, can make a meaningful difference.

A well-balanced person runs 72 miles in a day, right?

This Saturday, head roaster Matt will be putting that theory to the test as he takes on the full Ribble Way to raise money for

The river runs through the landscapes that inspire us so much of what we do, so we're proud to be supporting the people helping to look after it.

If you'd like to support the challange you can find the donation link in our bio.

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far. We're looking forward to seeing Matt at the finish line with a well-earned brew in hand.

Good luck, Matt.

We've got a new look.

Our coffee bags have had a refresh, inspired by the place we call home.

The contour lines represent the hills and landscapes of the Forest of Bowland, while each illustration has been hand drawn and features sights and places from across the Ribble Valley and surrounding countryside.

We've also renamed the coffees to make things a little simpler.

Daily Blend is now The Daily Brew.

Colombian decaf is now The Calm Brew.

Our Colombian has become The Zesty Brew.

And our single origins will now be named after their country of origin, from The Kenyan Brew to The Ugandan Brew and beyond.

The coffee inside hasn't changed. It's still the same freshly roasted coffee, roasted here in the Ribble Valley.

Just in a bag that tells a little more of our story.

Some dads are impossible to buy for.

A good coffee usually goes down well.

Whether he's up early, always has a brew on the go, or simply enjoys a proper cup of coffee, our freshly roasted coffee makes a thoughtful Father's Day gift.

Roasted in Lancashire and packed by hand, it's the sort of gift that's appreciated long after Father's Day is over.
