As the new term begins, we share with great sadness the news that Nick White, the founder of EIGER Standing Desks, passed away in March.

Nick was diagnosed with Chronic B Cell Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) in September 2022. He remained on Watch and Wait until February 2025, where he faced a five week battle as the cancer spread to his brain stem.

Nick began his business back in 2013, motivated by his dedication to health and fitness. The business’s purpose quickly transformed into encouraging children to stay active and supporting neurodiverse students within schools.

Those who met or worked with Nick will remember his kindness, positivity and warmth. His desire to always help others shone through his work, resulting in a lasting impact on the neurodiverse community and in education.

Above all, Nick was a devoted family man, and is deeply missed by his wife Sally, and his two daughters Mary and Florence. Sally has now stepped into the role of founder of EIGER Standing Desks, and is committed to continuing Nick’s legacy in the education sector.

He will be dearly missed.
