We will need help cleaning, weeding, strimming, fixing electricals, a bit of sanding and painting and a lot of litter picking!

Next up today is another young cub signing on for more hard graft at senior level. We’re delighted that prop Joe Gibbons has confirmed he is returning for the 2026/27 season.

After coming to rugby relatively late and eventually being persuaded to give up the round ball game, Joe has made massive strides. He became a key member of a successful Colts set up and made his debut for the 1st XV last season.

To being playing prop at Level 6 as an 18 year old and holding your own, often against opposition with National league experience, is a huge achievement and we feel Joe’s ceiling is incredibly high. He is another example of a player nurtured in our Colts set up and given an opportunity to play and enjoy senior rugby at the right time for them.

Joe commented, “Really looking forward to the new season and all the challenges that it will present, but I know the lads we have at the club are so committed as a group to overcome any problem that they face. Really glad to be a part of such an amazing team.”
