A container crane game is taking shape in the workshop, building on our water exhibit at VilVite , first installed over a decade ago.

The large-scale exhibit brings together a series of interlinked activities exploring the water cycle, reservoirs and dams, hydroelectric power, and hands-on experiments. Stainless steel snow-capped mountains form the centrepiece, with houses that illuminate as water is diverted to drive a working turbine.

The crane game sits within this wider environment, adding another practical layer to an already highly interactive exhibit.

Jodrell Bank's interactive Orrery is back at SP for a clean and service after 13 years of operation.

This 5 metre wide, hand-driven piece of precision engineering is spending time in the workshop, helping ensure it continues to run smoothly for years to come.

Built for their Discovery Centre, it allows visitors to set the whole mechanism in motion themselves, offering a direct, hands-on way to explore our place in the Universe.
