​Notice your lash extensions shedding a bit quicker than usual lately? You aren't imagining it! While we love when the UK finally gets some proper sun, the extreme heat, humidity, and sweat can wreak havoc on your lash retention.

​Here is exactly what is happening under the surface and how to save your retention:
​💧 The Sweat & Oil Double-Whammy
​When it gets hot, our bodies naturally produce more sweat and sebum (our skin’s natural oils).
​The Science: Eyelash adhesive hates oil. The natural oils and salts found inside your sweat travel down to the lash line, slowly seeping under the bond and breaking down the cyanoacrylate (the main ingredient in your lash glue).
​The Result: The glue loses its grip, leading to premature fallout.

​🌡️ Humidity & Extreme Heat
​The sudden spikes in UK humidity can actually cause the lash adhesive to become brittle or fail to bond correctly if exposed too soon. Even worse? Direct, intense heat—like standing too close to a hot BBQ, opening a boiling oven, or using a high-heat hairdryer—can actually "singe" the synthetic tips or cause your gorgeous D-curls to relax into a straight line!
