I think Fridays are officially becoming my favourite day of the week… because it’s ANOTHER first-time pass!
This time it’s Grace’s turn and what a way to finish the week! 🚗✅
A huge congratulations to Grace for smashing her driving test at the very first attempt! Your hard work, determination, and positive attitude have all paid off, and I couldn’t be happier for you
Told you and I told ya mum you’d smash it and smash it you did even winning our instructor pupil bet that is now the routine thing 😂

⚠️ Don’t assume another vehicle is your blocker/shield
One mistake I see all the time is learners following a car that’s alongside them onto a roundabout, thinking it’s blocking/shielding the traffic.
🚫 Most cars are not a blocker/shield 🛡️
By the time you’ve moved off, the traffic they were “blocking” can already be in your path.
The only vehicles that can genuinely create a safe blocker/shield are usually long, slow-moving vehicles like buses, HGVs or articulated lorries—and even then, you must still assess the situation yourself.
Never follow another vehicle like sheep. Read the roundabout, judge the traffic, and only go when you know it’s safe.

I genuinely couldn’t be happier for you. From your very first lesson to today, you’ve worked so hard, stayed determined, and it’s all paid off in the best possible way. It’s been brilliant having you as a pupil, especially with all the fun we’ve had filming TikTok videos along the way! 😄
Watching your confidence grow behind the wheel has been amazing, and today you’ve proved exactly what you’re capable of.

🖤❤️ One of the techniques we teach learners is recognising a blocker. 🚗🚫
A blocker is a vehicle that’s already travelling around the roundabout. As it passes an entrance, it prevents traffic from that road from entering, which can create a safe opportunity for you to join the roundabout.
❌ It’s not about rushing.
❌ It’s not about taking risks.
✅ It’s about reading what’s happening around you and spotting safe opportunities.
The key is that you still complete your observations and only move if the roundabout is genuinely safe. A blocker simply helps make traffic more predictable and can stop another vehicle entering your path at the same time.
Learning to read traffic like this is what separates simply driving from driving well. It’s all about planning ahead, staying calm, and making safe decisions.

What a result! From day one you’ve worked hard, listened to every bit of advice, and put the effort in every single lesson. Today it all paid off in style with a pass and winning your bet 😁
Passing first time is an incredible achievement, and to do it with just 1 minor fault shows what a safe, confident driver you’ve become. You should be seriously proud of yourself!

Not every learner gets it right first time, and that’s completely normal. Reverse bay parking takes practice, patience, and good observation.
