IMPORTANT UPDATE!!
THE ARKWRIGHT ARMS ROAD CLOSURE.

It’s like Freaky Friday, today is SWITCH DAY!
The roadworks are progressing, one side of the job is complete and Severn Trent are changing which part of the road is closed.

As of 3.00pm Friday 14th November, the road in the direction of Arkwright/Chesterfield (West) IS NOW OPEN!!!! The Inkersall/Staveley direction (North) road also remains open. The traffic lights at the bottom have now been reinstated, so please abide by them.

The road in the direction of Duckmanton/Bolsover (East) is however NOW CLOSED.
The Roadworks are scheduled to be completed by the 19th December.
(Please be careful today if you are thinking of using Tom Lane as an alternate route, thanks to storm Claudia, we believe this road is flooded, although some reports say its passable with care).

As the changeover has only just happened, we are unsure whether any of the road closure signage has been altered or not. We will post again to make everyone aware of the latest information as soon as we know any more.
