On Friday, we had the pleasure of attending the Sheffield Network King Lunch, joining businesses from across the region for an afternoon of fundraising, conversation and support for a fantastic cause.

👏Together, the room raised over £2,000 for the Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre . Hearing about the incredible work the charity carries out, alongside the personal story shared by BTG's representative about her nephew, was a powerful reminder of the difference events like these can make.

A big thank you to Karen Claydon, Mel Archbould, Alison Gregory and Emma Thistlewhite for joining Anna, Maya, Harriet, Adam, Sian and Joe at our table. It was a pleasure spending the afternoon with you all.

🌡️And finally... a special mention to the venue's air conditioning, which clearly decided it needed the afternoon off! 🥵 With temperatures hitting 34°C outside, you can imagine just how warm it was inside!

Last week, the CMP Legal shareholders and partners came together to celebrate the retirement of Neil Brown 🎉

As one of the founders of CMP Legal, Neil played a significant role in helping establish the firm and shape the business it is today.

His experience, support and contribution during his career have been greatly valued by colleagues and clients alike.

Jason has worked with Neil since 1992 the days of huge power suits, and although the suits have gone, the immense respect remains.

With Neil now officially retired from the law, we'd like to thank him for everything he has done for CMP Legal and wish him a long, happy and well-deserved retirement. 🥂

☀️ The heatwave is upon us!

With temperatures soaring across the UK, many people assume there must be a legal maximum workplace temperature......

In fact, while HSE guidance suggests a minimum workplace temperature of 16°C (or 13°C where work involves significant physical effort), there is currently no legal maximum workplace temperature in the UK.

🥵 That doesn't mean employers can ignore the heat. Under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992, employers still have a duty to provide a safe and reasonable working environment and should take practical steps to keep employees comfortable during periods of hot weather.

🌡️With temperatures soaring across the UK this week, it's a timely reminder for employers to review their workplace arrangements.
