Whether you’re out celebrating, enjoying the weather, or just soaking up the atmosphere, we hope you have a brilliant time.

Everyone arriving at our hospital is assessed and directed to the most appropriate team here, based on their needs.
Our staff will be working through the heat too, so please treat them with the same kindness and respect you’d hope for yourself - they’re here to help everyone enjoy a safe weekend.

Our new Women & Children’s Building has won two awards at the North West Regional Construction Awards: Project of the Year (Cheshire, Wirral & Warrington) and the Sustainability Award. 🏆🏆
The judges were struck by how this building was shaped by everyone — staff, families, local schoolchildren, and the wider community. They also praised its sustainable design: a building that makes its own clean electricity, uses no gas, and tracks its energy use in real time to stay efficient day‑to‑day.

10 years of bringing people together through walking, running and volunteering in the beautiful Friends of Countess of Chester Country Park
A big milestone for a community event that has encouraged so many people to get active, make connections and enjoy the outdoors. 🏃🏃
🎉 CHESTER PARKRUN IS TURNING 10! 🎉
Can you believe it’s been a whole decade of Saturday morning runs, high-fives, and our fab community? This Saturday (July 11th), we are celebrating our 10th Birthday, and we want YOU there to celebrate with us!
Whether you’ve been with us since event #1, haven't visited in a while, or are thinking about joining us for the very first time, come along and join the fun. We would love to see faces old and new!
To mark the milestone we have -
🏃♂️ Pacers: In a collaboration, Chester Road Runners will be pacing odd numbers and Chester Tri even numbers, helping you hit those birthday targets!
🥳 Fancy Dress: Fancy dress is highly encouraged! Dig out your brightest gear, fun hats, or full costumes.
🍰 The celebrations don't stop at the finish line. Join us at the Little Owl afterwards for a catch-up - there may even be some birthday cake waiting!

We’re incredibly proud that colleagues from our Trust and partners across Cheshire and Merseyside have received national recognition at the Advancing Healthcare Awards 2026 for the NeuroRehabilitation OnLine (NROL) service.💙
This accolade celebrates the teamwork, innovation and dedication behind a service that is helping stroke patients access therapist-led rehabilitation from home.
Through virtual group sessions, patients can receive support with physical recovery, cognitive rehabilitation and emotional wellbeing, helping them regain confidence and independence after a stroke.
A huge thank you to everyone involved from the Countess of Chester Hospital , our NHS partners, patients and carers who have helped shape and develop the service.
It's a great example of how working together can make a real difference to patients’ recovery and experience of care. 🏆💙
