John Irvine - Making Magic

So - having attended Spire today the saga continues.. There's lots affecting the pain - from tight calf muscles, to gout, to arthritis, and my collapsed arches.

Apparently the tight calf muscles and the mechanical issues are causing the ankle itself to be caught in an almost nutcracker like motion - hence the agonising pain. Adding in the arthritis and the gout basically acting like sand in a drum around the ankle...you get the picture.

So...

Under consideration of advice and being told I'm a fu***ng idiot...I'm going to decrease my walk from Mighty Stride to Big Stroll. Drops about 7 miles off the walk.

I'm disappointed, but it's this or realistically face having to drop out part way through.

HOWEVER - to up the ante in return - I will now be donning my proton pack for the walk. Adding another 10Kg of weight (that's a stone and a half!!)

I mangled the minds of my co-workers with routines from , , , , and some of my own twists on some utter classics.

I also met the owner and his fiancée, who are planning on marrying on Islay, when he's stopped opening new bars - told them, pay fory travel/accom and I'll entertain your guests for free 😂

The thing is... Tonight I said "no... I'm not drinking. I'm not staying out. I've been up since half 5, I need my bed.

It's quarter to 1 in the morning, and I'm running the bath in my hoteo room, having just got in 😂😂
