SFI 2026 is here 🌱

The Sustainable Farming Incentive pays farmers to farm sustainably while protecting the environment, supporting food production, and boosting productivity.

Two SFI26 application windows open in 2026: June and September: Window 1 opens in June for around two months but could close early if demand is high.

🚜 To apply for Window 1, your business must be registered with the Rural Payments Agency by 1 January 2026.
🌾 Your land must be linked to your SBI, with at least 3 hectares of agricultural land at application.
✅ Eligible if you’re a small farm (50ha or less) or don’t already hold an ELM agreement like SFI or Countryside Stewardship.
💰Each business can hold one SFI26 agreement worth up to £100,000 per year.
