The next gen is in motion πŸ‘·β€β™€οΈ

Last week, Gold Award students stepped into the world of engineering at the Baker Hughes, Bridge of Don site β€” and showed up with energy, creativity, and ambition.

From building rigs and personal brands to networking with leaders and stepping into real roles, they didn’t just learn… they leveled up.

The goal? Confidence.
The result? A room full of future talent ready to take on anything.

Huge shoutout to everyone who made it happen β€” this is what opening doors really looks like. πŸ’™πŸ’š

Launch week = success! πŸš€
Our UK Baker Hughes team kicked off their intro sessions with the new cohort, and the girls at Lliswerry High wasted no time speed networking with mentors and discovering the possibilities in STEM careers.

The highlight? The paper tower challenge.
Tallest? Most intricate?
There was creativity, chaos, failure, and LOTS of laughter β€” exactly how learning should be. πŸ™Œβœ¨

Big shoutout to the volunteers who showed up and made an impact, and to Shawney and Mr. Marshall for inspiring the girls to come back for year two of the programme. We love to see it. πŸ’›

Celebrating STEM in Newcastle! πŸŽ‰

We had an amazing time at the GirlsGetSET celebration event, where curiosity met creativity in a brand-new STEM activity exploring the science of oil discovery and production.

The day also included:
πŸ† Awards for enthusiasm and achievement
🏭 A behind-the-scenes site tour into real-world STEM careers
πŸ’¬ Inspiring connections with mentors and peers

It was incredible to see these young minds light up with ideas and questions πŸ’‘ β€” proof of how powerful hands-on learning can be in sparking future STEM careers.

Huge thanks to our facilitators, volunteers, and of course the brilliant students who made this day unforgettable!
