Foxes 1 vs Ladybirds 1
47-36 (Win 🎉)

A good, steady win for Foxes 1 this week - going up in the first quarter and maintaining the lead throughout. A tough match due to the high temperatures - but we fought through, pulling away further in the last quarter.
A big thanks to Vic from Vixens coming along to support to give us a sub allowing us to rotate players where needed!
Superb shooting again from Neve, with Lilly & Issy rotating in too, working tirelessly around the D, and with some fab rebounds!
Some amazing work between Lucy & Vic as C - supporting both ends! Defence was consistent with Kelsey & Aimee working the D brilliantly - forcing errors, switching, intercepting and putting the pressure on. I was pushing out and supporting centre passes, and holding space on the edge of the D. All in all a great, clean match, with some skilful netball!

A tough game and the result didn’t go our way but the effort from every player was outstanding. We showed real grit and determination throughout, working hard right up to the final whistle.
Izzy demonstrated great versatility on court, adapting to different positions superbly and supporting the team wherever needed. Claire and Emily worked tirelessly, constantly moving to help transition the ball up the court and into the attacking D. Tilly and Charlotte never gave up, fighting for every ball and moving confidently around the D, scoring some fantastic goals. Sam, Megan and Teyla were strong in defence, consistently applying pressure to the opposition and working hard to intercept.
Although a loss, we worked incredibly well as a team, supporting each other to the end.

A very hot match tonight for Fen 1 meant lots of rotations were needed. Fliss and Lily (with help from me in the third quarter) worked well in the shooting circle against tight defenders, putting up some great shots. Cathy, Tegan, and Millie created a solid midcourt, turning over the ball, forcing errors, and settling the attack with patient play. Teyla, Sam, and I shared defence. Teyla and Sam kept tight to their shooters, providing great pressure over shots and rewarding the team with rebounds and turnovers to transition to the goal. Drawing the second quarter and winning the third, shows the capabilities of a team that don’t train together, but turn up to have fun and play netball. A big thank you to Teresa for scoring and timing, and to all the supporters who turn up each week 🦊
