This journey started with a simple idea:
To reach 40 with the best physique of my life.

Not for the applause.
Not for a medal.
But to push my limits, day after day, and see how far I could go with discipline, purpose, and patience.

Today I stepped on stage and took second place in my Men’s Physique competition.

Now, some would say, “Second is the first loser.”

Others might write: “It wasn’t my day,” or “I didn’t get the result I hoped for.”

But I see things differently.

Bodybuilding isn’t like boxing, where a knockout decides the winner.
It’s not like jiu-jitsu, where a clean submission settles the match.

It’s subjective.
Some even argue it’s not a sport — more of a beauty contest.

Maybe there’s truth in that.
But even if the judging is out of our hands, the work behind the scenes never lies.

And that’s where I’ve already won.

The real victory was turning 40 with the strongest, leanest, most disciplined version of myself I’ve ever known.
That was the mission.
And that was accomplished.

This is just the beginning.
Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this process. Let’s keep building.

MPOX (Monkeypox) and Contact Sports: What You Need to Know

The 2022 MPOX outbreak has highlighted the risk of transmission in contact sports such as football, rugby, and Jiu Jitsu, as they involve frequent skin-to-skin contact.

How is MPOX Transmitted?
MPOX is primarily spread through close, direct, or prolonged skin-to-skin contact, similar to other infectious diseases in contact sports.

Risk for Athletes
Contact sports athletes are particularly susceptible to MPOX outbreaks due to their activities. The virus can be easily mistaken for other skin infections, making it a challenging diagnosis.

No Documented Cases Yet
There are currently no documented cases of MPOX directly linked to sports participation, especially in contact sports. However, medical literature has recorded outbreaks of infectious skin diseases in sports like wrestling, indicating that if MPOX were introduced into this environment, it could follow a similar pattern.

Comparison with Other Epidemics
The article compares MPOX to other skin disease outbreaks, such as herpes gladiatorum in wrestlers. It discusses how MPOX, due to its similar transmission mode (skin-to-skin contact), could potentially cause similar outbreaks if appropriate preventive measures are not taken.

MPOX Symptoms
Symptoms include:
- Fever and headache
- Muscle aches and fatigue
- Skin lesions that progress from spots to pustules
- Swollen lymph nodes can help differentiate MPOX from other infections.
