I love crafting robes that feel effervescent and fluid, and Zephyr is the truest reflection of that. Its blend of sheer chiffon and sleek satin creates a softness that stirs with the lightest breath of air, an elegance alive with quiet beauty.

When Cassie searched for pieces to loan for her bo***ir shoot, I knew Zephyr was meant for her. She felt it too, so much that she asked to make it her own. Seeing it find a home with someone as warm and luminous as she is felt like the sweetest kind of fate.

This corset was made at beginning of my journey, when I was starting to understand how profoundly the language of corsetry spoke to me as a maker.

I was captivated by the balance between sleek, architectural lines and lavish, meticulously crafted detail, a contrast that continues to shape my aesthetic.

In creating this piece I learned how structure can wrap around the body and how embellishment can speak softly while still holding its brilliance.

This was one of my first corsets, and of course I didn’t begin with something simple!

Ten years ago, for my final major project at university, I collaborated with , whose distinctive techniques shaped the whole collection.

I knew I had to include a corset made with her refined lapped-seam method: two layers of fabric folding over and under itself - which was achieved with specialised attachment on a twin-needle machine - to create clean, sculptural seams that doubled as boning channels. The result was a piece that felt exceptionally light and impeccably finished, inside and out.

It was demanding to learn, but as a budding maker, I was proud of how far it pushed me! I’d love to revive those skills someday.
