It’s always a pleasure to receive a token of appreciation from a patient following a successful surgery.
Recently, I was able to share and enjoy a totally unexpected box of delights from a patient that isn’t a patient. I have neither met nor treated this most generous of individuals.
She called my office to book a surgical consultation. When I reviewed the clinical information provided it was apparent that surgery was an option and the consultation would not have been helpful for her. So I asked my team to relay my advice and she cancelled the appointment.

And two weeks later I arrived for a clinic to find this box of favourite treats on my desk, accompanied by a Thank You card. It made my day.

Acting in the patient’s best interests is always appreciated.
And so is a box of chocolates.
