🌟 Another brilliant review for the team 🌟
We’re delighted to share this fantastic feedback from Chirag Mehta, who recently viewed a property with our Senior Lettings Consultant, Sean Lynch.
From clear communication and punctuality to a calm, professional approach during the viewing, Sean made the whole experience smooth and straightforward for the family, even with three young children in tow.
It’s always our aim to offer a viewing experience that’s informative, welcoming, and stress free. Hearing that we achieved exactly that means a lot to us.
A huge thank you to Chirag for taking the time to share his experience, and well done to Sean for consistently delivering outstanding service.
👏 Great work, Sean

There is something very British about holding on to spare bedrooms. Many households in Cardiff have one – and a good number have two or even three that sit untouched most of the year. Local data shows pockets of the town where a large share of homes have significant unused space, especially in the darker-shaded areas on the map.
Is that a good thing? Well… yes and no.
On the positive side, extra bedrooms bring flexibility. Visiting children or grandchildren have somewhere to stay. There’s space for working from home, hobbies, or simply storing the possessions gathered over a lifetime. People have worked hard to buy these homes, and it’s entirely understandable that they want to enjoy that space.
But there is another side. Spare bedrooms cost money. They need heating, upkeep, and insurance. Many owners are effectively paying for rooms that add very little to daily life. Some tell us they feel tied to a house that no longer fits. Others live with space that once had purpose but now feels like a reminder of a different stage of life. And the idea of moving can feel daunting.
There’s also the broader picture. When households in Cardiff remain in homes larger than they need, younger families can struggle to find room to grow. Many would gladly take on space that currently sits idle.
There’s no right or wrong here. Keeping spare bedrooms is often emotional rather than practical. But if those rooms have become dusty museums rather than useful spaces, it might be worth considering whether the home still fits your needs.
If you’re thinking about downsizing, planning ahead, or simply curious what your Cardiff home might be worth, we’re always happy to chat. No pressure. No obligation. Just an honest conversation about whether you’re living in the space that truly suits you.
