Check out this original BB800.

It was in a slightly sorry state with a faulty input jack, plenty of surface grime, high action and a dry 'board.

After some soldering, cleaning, shimming and stringing with pinks, it's one of the best basses I've ever played and should be groovy for years to come.

Some TLC for this first year, 1987 RG550 today. These are getting harder to come by and this is a great example with enough natural wear to really vibe.

That Desert Yellow finish looks fantastic!

Cleared 34 years of muck off the neck/fingerboard, sealed it, cleaned up the original Edge trem, sharpened the knife edges and gave the guitar a darn-good setup with some teeny-tiny strings for good measure.
