The Armonico Ensemble return to St David's Hall with a full cast of soloists to bring to life two great masterpieces of the Baroque. Written just weeks before his death at just twenty-five, Pergolesi's imperishable Stabat Mater is one of the most moving works of the Baroque. Hear it alongside Purcell's great opera Dido and Aeneas, whose characters breathe the genuine passions of love and death.
