Endometriosis (en-doe-me-tree-o-sis) is it a disease of the uterus where the tissue that usually lines the uterus grows out side of it anywhere in the body. It is extremely painful and it is one of the leading causes of infertility. It is estimated to affect between 2 and 10% of all uterus caring individuals.

While considered a "woman's disease" endometriosis has been found in cis males, trans males, premenstrual girls and postmenopausal women.
